Embellished Fabric Collage 23" X 27.5"
"They" say to paint what you know, so I did this view looking out of my kitchen
window in Bakersfield using fabrics. I'd found a new fabric called Angelina fibers,
which stick to themselves when heated. It reflects a lot of light so I used it for the
setting sun. I used cotton fabric for the foreground flowers, and blue lame (french
with an accent on the e)- pronounced lamay) for the Kern river below the bluff. While
perhaps quite art-folksy, I hope pleasant.
