My son called me from his appartment a few blocks from the Twin Towers on
9-11-01, just after the second plane ploughed into the second tower. He realized
it wasn't an accident, as so many others did at that point. It was morning for me
in California, and when the first tower came down I couldn't reach him. The
telephone lines were clogged and he had to evacuate and was finding his way out
of the area. He moved back to the appartment from his friend's a few months
later, and this piece was made for him. The original is now in N. Potomac, MD in
his office, and I have also sold smaller giclees of the piece.
