12" X 16" Embellished Fabric Collage
I created this for the Vegas Art Guild Show "Turn It Up" June-Sept, 2011. I expected
to see other turnips or upside-down objects. However the other 29 art pieces in the
show dealt with intense colors, textures, etc.- but no turnips there.
After doing this Still Life, I cooked these turnips and mashed them together with
about 1/3 cup evaporated milk, 2 Tbs. butter, pepper and our favorite no-salt
seasoning. My husband shouldn't eat potatoes, and says he likes these better than
mashed potatoes. I don't.
