| I chose many fabrics, guided by the colors and textures in the image and the mirror image. After backing all the fabric with Steam-A-Seam glue and after laying fabric on the substrate, embellishment used paint and individually deeping the petals depth with a new heat set method. This was the entrance to my mother-in-law's condominium. She was living there in Century City, Los Angeles when I met my husband in 1993 until she passed away in 2011. I finished these 2 pieces while she was in the rest home nearby Park Place. |
